Preparing appliances for a moving cleanout

Identify each appliance and its connection before pickup.

List refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges and other units separately. Confirm who is responsible for disconnecting water, gas or electrical connections. A removal crew should not be assumed to perform trade work.

Check before the removal date

Ask how the provider handles refrigerant-containing appliances. Keep the route clear and tell the crew about stairs or narrow doors.
