Apartment cleanout access checklist

A clear access plan prevents a pickup from stalling at the lobby.

Before the cleanout, ask management whether a service elevator must be reserved, where a truck may load, and whether the building has a permitted work window. Keep keys and entry codes with the person meeting the crew.

Check before the removal date

Walk the route from each room to the exit. Note tight turns, steps, and doors that may affect large pieces. Make a list of items that stay so they are not mistaken for the removal pile.
